Juventus ‘ready to attack for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma’

Juventus is poised to go to AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and hopes to lure him to Turin with a massive pay raise.

The Italy international, 25, is out of contract with Milan this summer and will be leaving for nothing unless he signs a new contract soon.

Milan has submitted a bid, but there has been no response from Donnarumma or his agent Mino Raiola.

The Saturday edition of Corriere dello Sport leads the story when his contract with AC Milan expires

Now reports in Italy suggest that Juventus could strike by offering Donnarumma a net wage of £ 8.7m per season, significantly more than his current £ 5.2m salary in Milan.

The story made the front page of Saturday Corriere dello Sport, with the headline stating that Juventus has a plan to recruit the talented young goalkeeper.

Corriere says current Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will be forced out and Donnarumma will replace him with the purchase seen as an ‘investment’ for the Bianconeri.

Juventus would like to sign Donnarumma on a free transfer and see it as a good investment

Juventus would sell their current goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, to make way for Donnarumma

It wouldn’t be the first time Juventus has signed players for free, but with the promise of superior wages. Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot were similarly signed.

Donnarumma has kept 10 clean sheets in 42 appearances for Milan this season. They’re second in the Serie A table, but hopes of winning the Scudetto are quickly fading with rivals Inter 10 points free.

Juventus is far from assured of a place in the Champions League for next season. They are in fourth place, only two points ahead of Napoli.

If Donnarumma left de San Siro, Milan would reportedly try to sign Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
